Phainopepla / Phainopèple luisant (Phainopepla nitens)

The Phainopepla is a silky-black bird with red eyes and white wing patches in males, found in deserts of the southwestern United States and Mexico. The crimson red background adds a bold, emotional punch, evoking power and presence.
Each painting is made from watercolour, sometimes with coloured pencils or gouache accents. The block coloured background is later painted with acrylic paint and is destined to add vibrant colour in our homes!
For all made-to-order, please expect 1 month delay, as I need to have multiple orders before sending to print.
