Kea / Nestor Kéa (Nestor notabilis)

The Kea is a large alpine parrot with olive-green plumage and bright orange underwings, endemic to New Zealand. The green background acts as a visual anchor for the delicate subject.
Each painting is made from watercolour, sometimes with coloured pencils or gouache accents. The block coloured background is later painted with acrylic paint and is destined to add vibrant colour in our homes!
For all made-to-order, please expect 1 month delay, as I need to have multiple orders before sending to print.
