Celestial Monarch / Tchitrec Céleste (Hypothymis coelestis)

The Celestial Monarch is a small bird with pale blue upperparts and a whitish belly, found in lowland forests of Southeast Asia. The strong green colour of the background accentuates the softness of the watercolour textures.
Each painting is made from watercolour, sometimes with coloured pencils or gouache accents. The block coloured background is later painted with acrylic paint and is destined to add vibrant colour in our homes!
For all made-to-order, please expect 1 month delay, as I need to have multiple orders before sending to print.
