Cassowary / Casoar à casque (Casuarius casuarius)

The Cassowary is a massive black bird with a bright blue and red bare neck and a tall casque, living in tropical forests of New Guinea and northeastern Australia. The lime green background injects energy and vibrancy, making the painting feel playful and fresh.
Each painting is made from watercolour, sometimes with coloured pencils or gouache accents. The block coloured background is later painted with acrylic paint and is destined to add vibrant colour in our homes!
